Local Buzz Agency was built by venue operators who’ve spent 20+ years running wedding and event venues across the country. DC. Chicago. New York. The Bay Area.


We’ve paid The Knot more than we’d like to admit. We’ve hired agencies that created more dependency than results. We’ve felt the frustration of running beautiful venues that nobody could find on Google.

So we built what we wished we’d had.

WHERE IT STARTED

THE KNOT ERA

We ran venues. Beautiful ones. The kind of places that made couples cry happy tears during site visits. But when people searched Google, they found our competitors first.


So we did what everyone does: we paid The Knot. Then WeddingWire. Then both. The leads came in. Some of them even booked.
But every year, the fees went up, and the lead quality went down. We were renting our visibility, and the landlord kept raising the rent.

We tried hiring it out. Found an agency that promised “comprehensive digital marketing solutions.” (That phrase should’ve been the red flag.)
Six months and $15,000 later, we had a monthly report full of impressions and click-through rates, and precisely zero additional bookings we could trace back to their work.


They’d never set foot in a wedding venue. They didn’t know the difference between a “lead” and a couple who’re actually ready to book. We were just another client on a spreadsheet.

We figured it out ourselves. Took three years of testing, tracking, and occasionally failing. But we cracked it.


Turns out, for venues in secondary and destination markets, it comes down to three things: Google Business Profile, reviews, and a website that doesn’t lose couples before they inquire. That’s it. Everything else is noise.


Now we help other venue owners skip the three years of trial and error.
